• I’ll make the most of it

So, as a beginning, I received two different contacts yesterday regarding positions at two different state agencies. As interested as I am in obtaining gainful employment, I was more hoping to gain employment at a place that offers me more than just half of what I was previously making.

I am so disappointed to discover that if I were to share my time and talents with this great state of mine that I would qualify, as a single mother of only one child, for state funded medical insurance, food stamps, and whatever other sort of social program they offer. The best friend in law yesterday explained me that the reason for those programs is for people like me, who, even after their best efforts would not be able to make ends meet.

I think I’m starting to rethink my position on the 65 hour work week.
